Pandora Rings (any pronouns), also known as Sketch, is an Illustration junior at Moore College of Art and Design, minoring in both Sequential Arts and Creative Writing. Focusing on concept design and storytelling, they seek to dissect and invert popular tropes while also creating representation they never saw in media while growing up, primarily centering on fantasy of all kinds, from high to low and everything in between.
Growing up as the youngest of four, one of their biggest artistic inspirations has always been their older siblings. Second to that became video games such as indie hits Hades and Monster Prom. as a creative writer on the side and a reader as long as they could hold a pen to sign a library card, books, mythology, and more recently podcasts have become part of their musings. Beyond this, they're also an avid Dungeons and Dragons fan (as both player and dm) and a board game champion amongst their friends and family.
If you had to ask them what their most important value is, they'd answer with no hesitation, hope. Hope is why they create art, why they write the stories they do, and why they keep fighting for people to be seen and heard in a world such as this. After all, what else is there to hold tight to when all the evils escape the box?
